BUBR AFRICA & DIASPORA FAQ

GENERAL

The minimum age for the tour is 18.

All cyclists on the Tour need to be able to ride at least 100km / 62mi a day, for a consecutive 6 days. They also need to be able to ride at an average speed of 12.5mph/20kph and climb elevations of up to 4,000ft.

PAYMENT

1. Pay in Full:

Simply pay the full amount now, with no additional payments needed.


2. Pay in 7 Monthly Instalments:

Start with a £500 deposit, then spread the remaining balance over six equal monthly payments. We’ll automatically charge your original payment method and send you reminders before each instalment. This option is available for those who book and pay the deposit by July 15 2026, ensuring all payments are completed by January 15, 2027.

ACCOMMODATION

When it comes to room allocation, we'll send out a form for you to indicate your roommate preference — whether you're booking with a friend or have been on the tour before.

No, we do not have an option of three to a room.

You will be matched with another rider of the same gender.

Room allocations will be shared at least 1 week before departure.

Not as part of the tour.

TBC, as it is unlikely that all riders will be on the same flights.

BIKES

A bike box can be one of your large luggage pieces.

Bikes will be kept on-site at each hotel throughout the tour.

A road bike.

We will have access to bike mechanics on the tour, however we strongly recommend you have your bike fully serviced before departure.

CHARITIES

We are still establishing our beneficiary, it will be shared in due course.

The fundraiser will open around 4 months before the tour starts.

BUBR AFRICA TOUR

The tour will be accompanied by an ambulance that will provide first aid support.

Average Temperatures in March (Jamaica):

  • Daytime highs: around 28°C to 30°C (83°F to 87°F) 
  • Nighttime lows: around 20°C to 24°C (69°F to 75°F) 
  • Humidity: Moderate, around 72%, more noticeable inland
