BUBR AFRICA FAQ
GENERAL
The minimum age for the tour is 18.
All cyclists on the Tour need to be able to ride at least 100km / 62mi a day, for a consecutive 6 days. They also need to be able to ride at an average speed of 12.5mph/20kph and climb elevations of up to 4,000ft.
You must have travel insurance. Please read the full details in the terms and conditions here.
PAYMENT
1. Pay in Full
Secure your spot by paying the total amount now — no further payments needed.
2. Pay in 7 Monthly Instalments
Start with a £300 deposit, then spread the remaining balance over six equal monthly payments. Your original payment method will be automatically charged, and we’ll send reminders before each installment. This option is available for bookings with a deposit paid by 31 August 2025, with all payments completed by 1 March 2026.
3. Pay Part Now, the Rest Later
Confirm your booking by paying 25% of the total amount upfront. Pay the remaining balance any time before 1 March 2026.

ACCOMMODATION
Yes, if you choose the "Buddy Twin Room" ticket option. You will book 2 x tour tickets and will have the option to invite your buddy to the booking to pay off their share of the booking.
No, we do not have an option of three to a room.
You will be matched with another rider of the same gender.
On arrival in Senegal, unless you chose the buddy option when booking.
This will be confirmed and shared in due course.
Not as part of the tour.

BIKES
A bike box can be one of your large luggage pieces.
All bikes will be kept within the hotel we stay in.
A road bike.
We will have access to bike mechanics on the tour, however we strongly recommend you have your bike fully serviced before departing for Senegal.

Each rider is required to raise a minimum of £250 towards the Senegal Tour. Please set up your own personal GoFundMe page, and we will add you to our official Team GoFundMe once your page is live.
BUBR AFRICA TOUR
The Tour will be accompanied by an ambulance that will provide first aid support.
Average Temperatures in Early May (Dakar & Surrounding Areas):
Daytime highs: around 28°C to 32°C (82°F to 90°F)
Nighttime lows: around 21°C to 24°C (70°F to 75°F)
Humidity: Moderate to high, especially inland
