The minimum age for the tour is 18.
All cyclists on the Tour need to be able to ride at least 80 kilometres a day, for a consecutive 7 days. They also need to be able to ride at an average speed of 12mph (19kph) and climb elevations of up to 4,000ft.

Please note that it is strongly advisable to arrange adequate travel insurance at the time of booking your trip. We would recommend fully comprehensive travel insurance.
Places are only reserved when we have received your booking and deposit through our website. If you do not receive a confirmation email please contact us at booking@blackunitybikeride.com. You will receive regular updates and reminders for payments depending on the payment option you have chosen.
1. Pay in Full
Simply pay the full amount now, with no additional payments needed.
2. Pay Part Now, the Rest Later
Secure your booking with a 25% deposit, then pay off the rest at your convenience. This is perfect if you’re booking a "Buddy Twin Room" with a friend—each of you can pay your share separately. Just make sure the balance is settled by February 28, 2025.
3. Pay in 7 Monthly Instalments
Start with a £200 deposit, then spread the remaining balance over six equal monthly payments. We’ll automatically charge your original payment method and send you reminders before each instalment. This option is available for those who book and pay the deposit by July 31, 2024, ensuring all payments are completed by February 28, 2025.

The total cost of the tour is £1,479.00/PP for a twin room or £1,789.00/PP for a single room and does not include the cost of flights. In order to reserve your place you must pay a non-refundable deposit of 25% if choosing the "pay part, pay rest later" option £200 if choosing the "payment plan" option.

Yes, if you choose the "pay in full" option or "pay part, pay later" option.
Yes, if you choose the "Buddy Twin Room" ticket option. You will book 2 x tour tickets and will have the option to invite your buddy to the booking to pay off their share of the booking.
No we do not have an option of three to a room.

Two charity projects will be supported on the tour, Khaltsha Cycles Academy empowers South African young girls through cycling, education, and mentorship. Bonga Cycling Academy is dedicated to changing lives through sport and education.
You can visit our GoFundMe page (new one set up before 25th July) where you can donate and share amongst your network, each rider will be expected to fundraise at least £250 towards the campaign
The Tour will be accompanied by an ambulance that will provide first aid support.
Average high temperatures at this time hover around 20°C (68°F), while average low temperatures drop to around 11°C (52°F).
We recommend you bring a cycling kit for each riding day. This price also includes a special bespoke BUBR Africa Tour kit. If you do not already own the BUBR flagship cycling kit, we highly recommend you order it for the tour at our shop.
